i got nothin'

happy 4 years to my blog!
honestly can't believe i've kept it up this long. Ü first-ever post here.

ok besides that i feel like i've got nothing. actually i have too much that it eventually turns into nothing. am i making any sense? no. clearly, i've been a little confused this year. i'd like to blame it all on the winter blues, or my lack of goal-making ambition. (i LOATHE making new goals and trying to stick to them. aren't i a horribly depressing person!?). but mostly i'm just in one of those wishy-washy places. coming to the end of our chapter in boston, which is truly bitter-sweet, not being able to get out of the house with kids in this ice world, and trying to figure out what i'm really doing in life, and what makes me happy.

what does make me happy?

my kids getting along
date night
helping others (giving all the "street-sign-holders" whatever cash i have Ü)
taking pictures
diet coke (with a lime)
trying new, successful recipes
a clean house
new shoes
reading a good book (my only goal this year)
a healthy body
the feeling after exercising (not before)
a road trip
making a sale
filling my "cart" while online shopping but not actually buying any of it Ü
strawberries
playing the piano
girls night
hot chocolate in the lodge after snowboarding
dance parties with my family in the living room
new babies
a phone call from a sibling
freshly painted nails
keith urban (landen understands)

ummm... there is a lot more. i guess i'm a generally happy person. sometimes it's just easier to sit aside and do nothing, but that's not what makes me happy. i just need a kick in the butt. i know, it's getting a little deep around here.

remember how landen had a birthday on february 5th!?

we celebrated.

(he turned 28, not 1)

we got to go out the night before to a yummy thai place. it was so nice to just chill alone for a few hours. i gave him celtics vs. suns tickets (taking place in march). he's pretty excited.

the next day we booked it down to krissi's (landen's sis) for our new niece's baby blessing. and because i've been super lame and haven't been able to look at her pics all week... here is a little sneak peek for kris.

there's always more where that came from. but for now, i'm going to hang with the fam. Ü

FINALLY! I was going insane! Even though I talk and skype with you, this is my link to your life. It's kind of like going to the mailbox every day, hoping for a letter and the mailbox is empty....E.V.E.R.Y. DAY! So thank you, thank you, thank you! Hug my girls for me!

I think it's that time of year again: ready for Winter to be over, waiting for Spring to begin. IT's such a non-motivating time. I feel like I don't want to start anything or do anything until the weather makes the first move:)
