oregonians

did i forget to mention?

... we're moving to OREGON may 21st!

that might have slipped my mind in all this non-blogging-ness. most of you probably know about it, but i feel the need to elaborate on that note (as i usually do).

oregon was never at the top of the list. actually, i'm pretty sure it was at the bottom. right after thanksgiving (on our drive home from krissi's to be exact) we started talking about the possibilities of moving there, and were excited for the first time. we had already started our list of "pros/cons" for other possible states and then it just kind of stuck. we took a few days to pray about everything and then... i walked into our bedroom one day and landen had this huge smile on his face. he said, "i think i got my answer, i think we should do it!" i didn't know what he was talking about and then i realized... oregon. i'm sure you'd think the initial push to move next to my family would be from me, but this is even stevens. Ü and for the record, the rest of my family found out from my mom because she was so excited she couldn't sleep the night we told her.

we are so excited to be close to family finally. and even though we won't be close to landen's parents, we feel like anything west of the mississippi is just around the corner after being this far away. i can't even imagine hopping on a plane and seeing anyone we want within 2 hours, instead of 10. landen is on the job hunt right now, but it feels so comforting narrowing our search radius down to one state!

so that's our news. portland, here we come.

and recently uploaded from the "home hangin'" folder in february (meaning this is what we do while hangin' at home...)

sophie got to put in the last piece of the "beautiful puzzle"

*we were *this* close last night to buying tickets to come to boston on trav's spring break in march...if only we could justify spending the money!

I too noticed Landon's reading attire, looks like some manly long johns for the cold winters! Sounds like fun, moving closer to family! I'm sure Liz is a benefit too!

I also love the napkin head, one of my favorite movies!
Happy Valentines Day!

We are so excited you are coming! We'll have to get together for sure. My boys are a little wild - be prepared! I'm not sure how you managed to do a puzzle with the kids around, I'm impressed :)

I bet your mom is just dying of joy.

Remember how you totally failed to put me into labor? We can still be friends, though :)

I can't stand it. Do you have to leave so soon? IT really wasn't 4 years, right? It doesn't seem that long ago that I met you and baby Soph poolside at the Ericksons. sigh.

We are happy for you. I enjoy new chapters. But just so you know, Brad is pretty sad about your move. We are going to be lost.
