because that's what it's all about around here right? just a quick update for my mom at least... she's been asking if we're alive. and we are. i've just been working on other projects like making lots of new cute things for my shop! stop in this next week and check it all out. i'll probably have a promo or give away to celebrate birthday week. (at least that's how i feel about the first week of march!)
ok so seriously... quick. before piper destroys everything she touches.

this picture perfectly displays her little personality right now. she's crazy. much crazier than sophie ever was. she pulls up to kneeling or standing on everything, and then doesn't know how to get back down so she makes monster noises until someone rescues her. she is crawling (on her knees finally) everywhere, so we have to barricade the kitchen and the bathroom to keep her safe!
she eats everything and anything and finally decided last week that she was done nursing. completely weaned herself... sad day. i'm trying not to take it personally, but trust me, i feel like a new person.
she gives the best open mouth/licking kisses and dances any chance she gets. if there is a beat, there is a dance move coming from her direction. (dance=bouncing up and down).
she is all about the details, like any little movement my foot is making on the floor, or the crumb she sees and wants across the kitchen, or the tiny freckle on my hand. i love how she is into it all!
unfortunately she is my 6am riser. sophie is my sleep-in child, so i'm having a whole new experience the second time around. piper does not want to miss a thing, and like i've said before, she sleeps with her hand up on the bumper so she can pop up in case she hears a noise. she's our "go with the flow-busy body."

and soph. she is 100% girl and everything that accompanies that. from the jewelry to the tinkerbell dress-up to the curling hair (can you tell in the picture!?) to the nail painting to the drama and crying... all girl. she's so shy around other kids and would rather just hang out and talk to adults. speaking of talking... the sentences are finally flowing like mad. she talks to me and tells me things all day long. this morning she woke up and said, "mommy my tummy hurts! insert: puking all over the floor." lovely. later she said, "mommy my tummy's all better, no more poo-king." so glad.
piper is her best friend and she loves on her all day long. especially when "pipey" is doing something she shouldn't be doing, sophie will save the day with, "pipey! stop! no no no! mommy, pipey's choking!" (choking=drooling). she is also our sweet girl. she instantly feels bad if anyone is sad or hurt and makes everything better with "sorry sorry" and kisses.
she is a lover of cottage cheese, moo-bees (movies), the color purple, any song that has actions, nursery (finally!), and "helping" me with everything.
it's been a long day without landen so i needed the little reminder of all the reasons i love my girls. he officially only has 5 tests left in dental school. hallelujah. oh and thank goodness it's march. this #3 boston winter is about to kill us all.
ps... we still have no snow if you were wondering from all that crazy east coast weather.

i love it all. i love that our kids are doing all the same things except in my house it's a boy version. and in case you were wondering...i really wish we still lived in the same city.
i love sophie's curls! remember when you were so worried that she would never have real, girl hair? ha! and i think calvin and piper are perfect for each other. she'll be climbing and jumping off of that ottoman in no time. look out!
Could girls be cuter?!? I LOVE all your little outfits for them. I'm so glad you post the little stories so I feel like I get to know your girlies a little bit!!
I miss you a ton! The other day--on the day of terror--I kept thinking I wish Kristen lived close because she would make me laugh about all of this! PLEASE MOVE TO VEGAS. I'm begging you! Like down on my knees begging you. :)
Piper sounds a lot like Scarlett! She doesn't want to miss anything either. Always looking around... so fun!
My second is my early riser and crazy child too! There is something about the number 2 child, no matter what sex they are! I love Sophies hair and I can't believe she is finally into nursery! YAY!
