eight is great

(i love that you can see her little neck rolls in this picture. i want to dive right in.)

why do babies have to grow up so fast? she isn't supposed to be closer to one than to zero!



eight really is great with piper, but everything is usually great with her. she makes me a baby lover and i love that about her. we die over everything she does.



she is so energetic and smiley at home, and the second you take her out of the house she becomes pretty stoic. she makes you work for the money.



and sophie can get a gummy smile out of her pretty much whenever. (still no teeth!)



we were so happy to get some pics outside, even if it meant freezing our noses a little bit. now we miss this weather as we just got snow dumped on us last night.



thank you random public corner building in our neighborhood, for painting your door turquoise. kind of random, but please don't get a new coat of paint, i love it.

a few of piper's favs at 8 months:

*sophie (she saves her special gut-chuckle just for big sis)
*putting anything and everything directly into her mouth
*finger foods
*sleeping on her side, with her arm up on the crib bumper, waiting to pop her head up at the next sound
*playing in the tub (just being nakie in general makes her happy)
*being tossed in the air
*pulling off her socks and sucking on them until they are drenched
*her bop (giraffe blanket)
*staring at sophie on car rides
*steam-rolling around the living room, usually in the direction of the vertical blinds...
*laying under the vertical blinds and kicking them to death, along with the glass door

*not sleeping, or i should say... light sleeping (i'm not complaining, she totally sleeps through the night, we just have our fights sometimes) this girl does not want to miss a thing!

and guess who started army crawling the other day? she can finally move forward! (kind of a short example, but you get the idea)

and just one more because piper hasn't had enough video face time on the blog.
