we had a fun date for landen's birthday last night, thanks to the gillettes for watching our girlies. you know i like to document things in pictures, so document we did.

(self timer... mostly i just like the looks we get when we start taking pictures of ourselves)
we do like to goof around. especially when we're waiting for the T and it's flippin cold outside.

i wouldn't advise sitting on a hunk of metal to warm up though.

landen didn't know where we were going until we showed up here:

dun dun da dun... he was pretty excited, and showed that excitement by warming himself over the fondue pot.

i guess i show my excitement by being a nerd.

at least we love each other. or does that mean fondue = love?

the spinach artichoke cheese was killer. oh man. don't tell me what kind of calories that must of had.

(yep, that's a granny smith apple. how did they know cheese and apples are my favorite combo? especially tillamook, but this sufficed.)
the perfect way to end a night, blow out your candle and smother every dessert you can imagine in flaming turtle chocolate.

we were playing outside afterwards (the restaurant was in the park plaza hotel)

when this guy came up and asked us if we wanted him to take our picture and he started out with, (in the most dirty boston accent you can think of) "i prah-mise i won't drahp ya cam-era." i think i was more worried he would run off with my camera... so landen opted to take his picture instead. he was quite the poser and almost showed us a little too much. he followed us down the street for a couple blocks until we ducked down to the subway. i think he thought he had new friends. thanks boston.

i like how everywhere i go with my camera people think i'm a tourist. ;)
just documenting the birthday boy's big day, subway style. is anyone else having a hard time with the year 2010? it doesn't look like a date to me.

waiting to go home

these are our "satisfied" looks when all was said and done and kids were in bed. landen looks a little sick, but trust me, we'll be back someday.

love a good date night.

What a fun date. Happy Birthday Landen
You took the train in? How did I miss that? Looks like you guys had a blast, good work documenting it all. That guy posing is hilarious! What did he think you were gonna do with the picture?
let's see if i can remember everything i have to say:
1. i really love the picture of you guys waiting for the T. i kinda wish we had one like that to remember boston by. although, travis (and probably landen) hated the T.
2. i think we have the same boots. serious.
3. quincy adams? what happened to ghetto wollaston?
4. i'm trying to convince trav to go to the melting pot with me for valentines day. never been and you have me convinced now.
5. thanks for still being the dorks i came to know and love.
How fun! Happy Birthday Landen!
I always wanted to try that restaurant. Looks like you guys had a fun night out together! Gotta love babysitters! And to answer your question, no hair on the chia head...how about yours?
It looks like Landen had a fabulous birthday--good job Kristen! All I could think of when I saw the flashback pics was you two in the lovesac eating 10 million of those chocolate cadbury mini eggs. :) Awh, the good old days.
Okay, I will be calling you back soon!
