fall at its finest

i took this cute girlie's pics back in april (back in the big belly days) but this time we played with the whole fam. what am i going to do when i don't have my larz anderson park anymore? we keep finding good spots every time! oh i'm already missing those colors...











we got to play with these goons over thanksgiving for a few days. lots of food, games, shopping, food, movie/football watching, food, oh and more food. i think i'll be full until christmas... which will officially be spent in OREGON this year! woo! i'm thankful for family and fun time spent with them.

and just for my own record, a few favorite sophie-isms from tonight.

landen was home teaching so the girls finished putting up the tree and decorations. i was asking sophie what santa should bring her for christmas, and after much deliberation she said, "SNACKS!" wow, really? so then i asked her what santa should bring piper for christmas. she got really quiet and after even more deliberation said, "a pink goat!" well i guess we know what piper is getting for christmas.

we were practicing saying her full name, so i started asking her what everyone else's name was.
"what's your whole name?"
"soapa tutt"
"what's piper's whole name?"
"pipey tutt"
"what's my name?"
"sisten"
"what's my whole name?"
"mommy tutt!"

ok, almost.

and my favorite is how she now says, "ow bout..." (how about) when she is thinking about anything. or "hey!" with a furrowed brow when i take something that belongs to her.

love this communication thing.
