i know everyone is saying that, but seriously, why is it december already? it's not even that cold outside (which i am NOT complaining about, oh trust me).
definitely time for another new christmas mix. remember my cd giveaway last year? i guess i decided to make it a tradition (which technically needs a vol. 3 to make it one right?) because christmas music is just too good not to share.

the girls woke up sick this morning, so we're doing lots of movie watching and juice drinking. i hate those little stuffy noses and nasaly voices. kinda cute but mostly pitiful. little p is snorting on the floor next to me. tis the season right?

Wow. I'm the first to comment!) So, my favorite Christmas tradition would be breakfast. My parents weren't always able to give many presents, and so I think my mom felt like a yummy breakfast would be the biggest gift. It was something we always looked forward to. Cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, hash browns, waffles, strawberries,etc. . . I think you get the mouth watering idea. Looking back now I realize what a sacrifice this was, she probably had to get up at 3 to start cooking.
ooh. this is good. so my fave is that one of us (usually me or brook) wakes up SUPER early and comes and wakes you and kyle up. and then we usually get yelled at to wait an hour. haha and then we all go downstairs in our blankets to look at our stockings and then go wake mom and dad up. yep thats it. (also that we can't touch anything until mom and dad get up) i'm SO EXCITED that we are all going to be home this year :) wooooo!
My favorite holiday tradition is trying to win Kristen's give-aways.
i don't know if i'll be able to listen to anything else besides volume 1 but i could probably try. i seriously have it memorized.
favorite christmas tradition? acting out the nativity with kids of all ages. my fav was last year with all the kids 3 and under with no clue as to what was going on, hehe.

ooh what a great giveaway! my favorite tradition would be Christmas breakfast. we eat abelskievers, bacon, eggs, the whole shabang with the whole family. its my favorite part of christmas.

But...my favorite tradition is how we open our Christmas presents. We have to go oldest to youngest and open one at a time. I remember it really killed me to wait when I was younger, but I am so glad my parents did that because then we actually remembered who gave us each gift.

Favorite tradition? Our shepherd's meal on Christmas Eve - bread bowls, soup, and sparkling cider on the floor in front of the fire, complete with shepherds attire.
My favorite thing is getting Papa Murphy's pizza. I buy it on Christmas Eve and cook it on Christmas Day, so I don't have to deal with cooking and we get PIZZA on Christmas and I don't feel bad that somebody had to work. {We have our fancy shmancy Salmon dinner on Christmas Eve.}

I love so many of my family's traditions, but I'd have to say my favorite is Christmas Eve dinner. Starting when my siblings were young, my parents told them they could pick on thing they wanted for Christmas Eve dinner. The first Christmas it was assorted chips and dip only, so they learned their lesson. Thereafter there were staples of ham and rolls–-the rest of the meal was up to us. It's become quite an experience in recent years, with all of us in the kitchen cooking our dishes at the same time.
Well, of course Bryan just informed me that he entered his comment under my name. So I'm entering my own. Yes, maybe this is a desperate attempt to win. :) One of my favorite Christmas traditions is actually before Christmas...after we set the tree up we dance to Christmas music. It's special...don't mock me ;)
I try to do something new each year. This year I'm going to the Holiday Pops (Boston Symphony Orchestra).
I love our special Christmas Eve dinner. It is the only time of year that we get to eat it. Yum! After we stuff ourselves, we have a special Family Home Evening. Love it!
favorite holiday tradition: mine and dj's candlelight dinner by ourselves before we leave to celebrate with family.

hmm...when i was little i loved going downstairs and seeing all the presents underneath the tree - it was so magical!

Favorite tradition.....lots. Christmas Eve PJ's are the best! My momma's overnight french toast on Christmas morning in Portland. Levi's parent's pig out on Christmas Eve thing...they'll make tons of different things; treats, snacks, appetizers and it will sit out pretty much all evening and we all just munch and snack AKA pig out, a new tradition in my life that I'm getting used to; having Christmas dinner at the fire station with Levi and his co-workers and their families; all the fireman make the meal and familys bring desserts and we all eat together (that is, if Levi is working on Christmas)....and last but not least, my brother Nick growing up would always go downstairs at like 2am and look at all the presents and then he would come upstairs and get us kids quietly. Then my mom and dad wouldn't wake up til 7 though. It's funny though because as Nick has gotten older, his 2am moves to 3am and then to 4am and so on....
My favorite tradition is how my family still goes around in a circle and watches each person open each gift. It takes forever but I love seeing what everyone gets!
P.S. It's funny to read how many people's traditions are similar to my family's. Is anyone else experiencing deja vu?

My favorite tradition is just being with family, especially as we're all over the country it's awesome to get extra time and reasons to be together.
oo- our household could reallllly use some more Christmas music. As of now, we only have the Chipmunk's Christmas CD....and we know how playing that 347225 times a day can start to rub ya wrong...
Anyways- Favorite tradition... my family are kind of christmas wierdos. Santa always got lost trying to find our house, so we never had presents under the tree in the morning. Instead, we spent the next 3-5 hours doing various kinds of 'hunts' for our presents. It was pretty cool, actually- extended the joy of christmas morning to all day long. :) Also, we always had oatmeal for breakfast the rest of the year, so our big special Christmas breakfast was assorted kinds of cold cereal. The Best!
