graduated, packed up our apartment, and flew across the country that is. landen is actually in boston still finishing up a few patients, while i'm getting ready to unload our truck in the morning here in portland. he will hopefully join us in two weeks after driving our car from sea to shining sea. yikes.
landen's parents and i loaded up the truck the day before graduation while landen was at school all day. phew. what would i have done without them!? lifesavers.

then my mom and krissi's fam joined us for the longest graduation ceremony i've ever been to in my life. good thing we had both grandma's to entertain kids!

i can't really explain the emotions i felt that day as i watched him walk into the arena all robed-up... lets just say i cried straight for 2 very nostalgic days. i'm so incredibly proud of his huge accomplishment.

also... many pictures were taken out of boredom. prepare yourself. for my landen 3000 miles away.

look! we're on the big screen! Ü

we kept some little people busy...

...while we waited for the big moment.

(i guess i get to take a tiny wife brag-moment and explain that his extra blue stole is from being admitted to OKU, the dental honor society. we got to attend a ceremony and dinner the week before. he also graduated summa cum laude, which was a surprise when we took a peek at the program, ha. i guess all those long studying nights paid off!)

don't let it fool you... landen's folder was actually empty. he won't get his diploma until september because of a few hold ups with patients. LAME. i won't even bore you with those gory details right now. we can still pretend though right!?

he had some pretty proud little girls.

pulling the tassel.

his buddy chris from our ward.

and back to the last night at our empty apartment (the only picture proof i have) with the cousins and aunt liz.

so now i sit here in portland, husband-less with no income and hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. can't say that i'm feeling the actual positive effect of dental school yet... ha. kidding... i know it will come. i'm so grateful for the time we got to spend on the east coast with our little family, learning how to do it all on our own. i feel blessed for the friends we've gained, the places we've seen, and the experiences we've had. i went from hating boston to really loving it in such a short time.
and now on to the oregon chapter of our life... (which we're really excited about!!)
