2010 flashback

i thought it would be fun to do a little flashback of our girls in 2010. i love seeing how much kids grow in such a short amount of time. with 2010 being a considerably "low key year" (no babies, graduations, weddings, moves, etc.) it was nice to really enjoy our girls right here and now.
last night soph was really sick. she had a 104+ temp and said, "mommy my body hurts everywhere." luckily she's doing a lot better today, but i hate seeing my kids sick and hurt. i always feel very grateful this time of year for everything i have been blessed with in my life. unfortunately i think we need that perspective sometimes (even if it's painful) to remember all the blessings we've been given. and i definitely consider my family my biggest blessing.

we were planning on going down to krissi's for new years but with our sickie i think we'll play it safe at home. we've got a little pizza/ice cream making, movie watching, squawker blowing, martinelli drinking, confetti throwing planned. i think they'll love it.

love our crazies. can't wait for 2011.

happy new year!

This is a perfect year in review; not too much talking, but plenty of illustration. Piper grew so much! (Though I'm sure Sophie did, too.)

And, if we're voting, I think Piper looks more like you.

such a cute idea (totally copying). it's so fun to see how they grew and changed. it's amazing how much they grow in just a year!

okay, so I'm going to *try* to replicate your princess peg dolls for B for her birthday coming up. Did you use acrylic paint? Any sort of sealant over the top? And did you make the cute buns in the princess' hair or were the pegs bought like that? They are just WAY to cute to pass up and I know my princess lovin' girl will adore them if I can do it!
