i finally took the plunge. no one told me my kid wasn't going to potty train herself, that i'd actually have to think twice about teaching her. i've mostly just been lazy (well, and super busy with other things) but i've been planning this for a long time and have to stop putting it off!
diapers are so easy. you can take her anywhere all day long and not worry about taking her to the bathroom or changing her (usually). but the expense is disgusting, and the embarrassment is starting to take over. sophie is a two year old that looks like a four year old, not to mention she's in 3T-4T clothes that are built for skinny underwear-wearing bums. my goal was christmas, but my urge last night took over. it's all starting to gross me out and i didn't have anything to do for the next two days that's not at home.

potty boot camp day 1. we had a diaper throwing away ceremony this morning and it's been undies, juice and prizes all day. so far only one major accident this morning, which i think turned the lightbulb on for her. two pees in the potty, and i'm crossing my fingers the afternoon goes just as smooth. wish us luck.
i do love that little panty bum.

i hate potty training. and i mean hate.
you are brave. reggie is not yet two, but he wants to poop in the toilet. i'm not ready for that.
Darling! Good luck!
Good luck, I'm beginning myself.
eeh! good luck! that is a cute bum!
Good luck! Luckily Porter is still too young for Potty training but, when I was a nanny I had to potty train and it was quite and adventure!
Show us the way Soph! We can't wait to see our new fantastic trick!
That's such a funny picture. I know how you feel. Hyrum's so big and just doesn't look like he should still be wearing diapers. I'm trying to hold off until we get back from vacation in the new year.
