broke

if it's not quite working, don't try to fix it. isn't that how the saying goes?

it's been a really weird electronic break-down week for us. within a matter of days, our tv gave up on us (still flickers on and off if we're lucky... no guarantees), my computer fan stopped working, causing my computer to overheat and randomly turn off whenever it wanted to, my camera SD card wouldn't let me copy any pictures from it onto my computer (including other people's family pictures and all of our halloween ones), and then i broke the vcr this afternoon when the tape got stuck in it and i had to rip it out. at this point, really anything could happen.

luckily, we bought a $5 can of compressed air to kick-start my fan into "somewhat" working mode, finally found the cord to my camera to find a new way to transfer corrupt pictures, that cord was found in the process of cleaning out the armoir for this little baby... (vcr still broken... so long bambi)



landen has been researching these for way too long, and decided to take sophie on a little shopping trip last night in breakdown mode.



things might be broken, but life is good... now. hehe. might i just say, watching so you think you can dance tonight was so much better on this screen. i can actually see their faces now! kat's nose is really crooked.

speaking of broke, the craft fairs were not so hot. at least i made back my table fees though right!? traffic was slim to none and not many buyers were actually buying. none of the crafters did well, but i really can say it was worth the experience. i had fun setting up and getting ready for it all, and now... LOOK OUT! my shop is going to be stuffed full for christmas shopping!

landen and piper trooped along with me the first night. it was at an elementary school north of boston and i met some really cute ladies. if they could bring in a bigger crowd i would definitely do it again.



she was the cutest model. one lady even came up and said, "i want that, (pointing to p), how do i get that look?" and she bought it.

sorry for the nasty light. this place was so badly lit with green light, i was convinced it put everyone in a non-shopping mood.

you wouldn't believe how many people stood there staring and then realized, "oh! they're hair clips!" guess we're not in utah anymore todo...





ok. my hot, genious husband came up with this one (had to say that so he didn't feel femi for this idea...). he thought the bitty clips looked like candy so he thought we should wrap them up (thank you free ortho bands from the dental school) and put them in candy dishes. they were a hit. and thanks to my cute sisters-in-law for helping me finish these!





i had some cute little visitors at lunch time. we put them to work modeling right away.



lots of work, good experience, probably won't put myself through that again for awhile. we squandered everything at outback later that night. i love you diet coke in a glass with ice and a straw with free refills.
