{sorry i couldn't resist. i saw a store called "maine-ly furniture" and decided to steal the fun since i'm amused at cheeseball things like that}
#47 on my life list: visit all 50 states. i now officially only have 7 to go. thanks maine.
we took a little trip up to maine on monday. i'll admit, i mostly wanted to get that state checked off my list, then i wanted to get a tan, then i wanted to go to the waterpark. in that order. cause really... a waterpark isn't that fun with two kids two and under. people kept looking at us like we were crazy, and one lady even said, "wow you're brave." ok it was fun. landen and i got fried, sophie got to splash around for 3 hours, and piper got the shady seat. the whole family was happy! the girls were awesome travelers and were sufficiently knocked out at the end of the day.
one thing i love about new england is you can drive for a couple hours and visit like four states. we checked off new hampshire for piper and maine for both girls. sophie is up to 23 already! what a world traveler!
apparently they know what they're doing up there...

soph has never been one to want a "sammich." i always offer, but the reply is usually the same immediate "no!" but when you're starving after lots of "swimming," pb&j is what hits the spot. ever since, she has been asking for a "jelly sammich." and today she finally decided she would eat it put together.

cute bums

side story: i didn't realize that sophie and i were totally matching. my suit was basically the same brown/pink flower print as hers {no, you will not see a picture of me in a swimsuit 5 weeks after having a baby. not good things}. people kept staring at us everywhere we walked and saying, "oh cute!" not a good idea when you're trying to keep the attention off of yourself!
back and forth between mom and the platform...

happy baby {don't let her fool you, it was hot!}

i'd say job accomplished. she really slept like that the 2 hours home.

So cute. i love Sophie's sleeping picture.
How fun! Piper looks so cute, she's losing her newborn redness already!!
I wondered about taking 2 little ones to a water park too when you told us you were going. Glad you had a good time. Only 7 states to go? that's pretty impressive.
1. sophie looks so much older in these pics.
2. what swimming suit did you get this summer?
3. i thought i had a 3 but i can't remember.
Cute car seat strap covers - did you make those?
hilarious about the suit.
