so i completely tore apart sophie's room (like the next day) to get out all the 0-6 month clothes, and re-pack up all the 12-24 month clothes she doesn't need anymore. i washed everything and took inventory on the baby situation. the verdict: we still have way too many clothes for this child (actually both girls) that i'm not banking on even getting through on the second round. thanks mom. ;) but it feels good to have all the baby goodies ready to go (like a drawer devoted to burp cloths and a basket full of newborn diapers) as i thrive off of an organized house. the last thing i want to feel is chaos when this baby comes.

the organizing of the girls' room lead to a revamp of the hall closet. ahhh... organized, labeled, drawer containers. thank you wal-mart.

{yep that's my pointy belly that gets in the way of everything}
which lead to reorganizing the food storage shelves and labeling every single can/box.
which lead to me finally starting sophie's scrapbook. yes, actual paper scrapbooking again. i forgot how much i missed getting my hands on all those goodies. i ordered this kit back in september in anticipation of baby #2, but it's actually being used up a bunch on soph's pages now. i sit in the little corner of my bedroom every night surrounded by my shelves/drawers full of "crafting equipment" and go at it. and someday when i'm sitting in my own colorful craft/scrapbook/hairclip/photography/whatever-else-i-can-come-up-with studio i'll probably remember the fun days of working in a 2 x 3 foot space, on my berber carpet, 7 months pregnant. or not.
which lead to editing the rest of my 365 project pictures, printing them, and putting them in their album. so close, only the journaling and some embellishments are left! i'm so excited to see this whole project at the end of a year.

i think this can all be categorized under "nesting." or just... i'm a crazy person. i feel both... but it feels good again.
aside from projectville, sophie... or i should say sophie's stomach decided to catch some nasty virus. ever since wednesday morning she stopped eating. which was my first clue-in to something being wrong. she is a complete foodie and when she passes up a whole bag of fruit snacks or closes the cupboard doors on her own without a snack in hand, i know something's up. so last night she woke up screaming with throw-up all over her crib. poor landen was here by himself while i was at my church meeting so i came home to a little sickie. i thought today would be better but still no eating. two bites of a waffle, one apple slice, and a bite of a pancake. thankfully she's still drinking juice and sprite, so hopefully something is getting in her. maybe it's something she ate? poor girl.
suffice it to say we've had a lot of cuddling, book reading, and taking it easy. it just about killed me when it got to 64 degrees today (sunny!) and soph was too sick to play outside. so what did i do during nap time?
shopped online for cute spring shoes.
not that i'm actually going to buy any of them... well maybe, but i needed a little springy inspiration. there is nothing more refreshing than barefeet in shoes. i hate socks, and let's face it... summer shoes are like a third of the price of winter shoes. i'm so over boots, and can i just say i'm feelin the yellow this season? anyone have any cute yellow shoes? just thought i would share the love. {plus when i'm pregnant, shoes are the only constant in my life}
1-yellow floral flats 2-wedges 3-woven flats 4-cheetah
1-coral pumps 2-orange flats 3-rain boots 4-leopard pumps
1-leopard 2-black 3-turquoise sandals 4-purple
and some shoes that we did actually get... where can i get some in my size?
{and my new shiny diaper bag i can't wait to use}
i found this baby for $15. landen agrees that's a little better than the $160 designer one i wanted. and now i'm realizing that i probably wouldn't have wanted to put pukey/poopy things in a bag that expensive anyways. don't even get me started on bags...

your 365 project looks so cute. i can't wait to see it! (although, i'm sure i'll probably be a little embarrassed of mine once i see yours. :) ). what font is that you're using for the days and dates?
love your belly shot in the midst of the storage bins. that's an aweomse picture for many reasons.
i'm loving yellow lately too! i got some dang cute yellow, satin pumps at last chance in phoenix last summer and have been dying to wear them again:) guess it just needs to warm up around here! today was nice, but probably just a tease. tomorrow will probably be frigid.
don't spend your $$$ online cause we're going shopping on april 21...you better warn landen now!
You've been busy, girlfriend. I feel like a lump compared to you.
And I absolutely LOVE the shoes you posted! How is it you find all the amazing things you do? It's like you've got an internal magnet that draws you to beauty.
Thanks for the inspiration! I may just have to indulge in some new spring shoes . . .
wow you have been busy. you have inspired me!! i have so much organizing to do and i finally bought a storage bin today to get started. i'm interested in how you organized your food storage...wanna share? and i love all the shoes they are so cute. i'm a fan of flats big time. and as always i love your belly. you know how much i love pregnant women!!
Kristen your post cracked me up because I have been going through the house organizing too! Our closets, all the bathroom bins (and they are all labeled now:) ), and yes, even Spencer's pictures. I guess that nesting instinct is pretty strong!
Want to come back and organize for me???
OH, by the way, I'm your mother and I think you're totally amazing!!
WOW, you have been a busy bee! I have felt the same way lately and I think it has something to do with Spring. There has to be something behind that "Spring Cleaning" rumor right!
