i think boston finally caught up with the rest of the country with this snow business. the first inch was cool, but the last 12 or so... not so much.
does anyone else remember this movie? for some reason it became one of those stupid inside jokes between my siblings and i. mostly we just liked to make fun of the action figure that decides to come to life and talk or "chuck's house of pain now delivers." every time it snows i think of watching this with the sibs.

soph begged to go outside after her nap yesterday. even though there were 40 mph winds, we braved the elements. i don't have any evidence because my camera would have been drenched within two seconds, but a before "cheeser" shot does pretty nicely.

the only way i could get her to come in was to say we could watch "momo." {finding nemo... obsessed lately}.
so this was last night at about 10:00. can you see the snow all stuck to the glass?

yep. that's our car. and about a foot of snow walled up outside our door.

i went to the grocery store yesterday morning before the storm "hit." i swear it was like the world was ending. i couldn't get through the aisles and had to wait for 20 minutes to check out. i guess people are prepared here!
we've had lots of time to do some "indoor activities." like truffles... {messy but yummy!}

and christmas toes. we did fingers too... but almost impossible to get a picture of!

Oh my gosh I love the toes!!! She is so cute :) And those treats look amazing!
I'm sorry, but "snow day"? It's now official, our media childhoods were cloned ;)
As much as I hate snow and cold, I'll totall take it if it means a white Christmas. Those truffles look delish!
OK, you win! We're at about 6 inches, but it's windy, so it's all blowing into drifts.
Oh, LOVE the piggies!!
oh those truffles look yummy. so are you staying in boston for christmas?? don't worry mesa will be nice and warm for you guys - just think of that when it's cold and snowing!
The mad dash to the grocery store here always makes me chuckle. I mean, where is your shovel from last year? Or are all these people recent imports from Florida? It's like they're expecting to be stuck inside for a month and will have to choose between their stash of Ring Dings and eating a family member!
I'm glad Soph likes the snow! We couldn't get Aiden to appreciate it last year but he's into it now. We hadn't gotten him a snow suit yet just because he was so anti-winter last year but now we have to! Enjoy being stuck indoors!
