oh december

i know i've been a major blog slacker for documenting one of my favorite months of all! we're already a week into december. shoot. i wish i could blame it on pregnancy sickness... but i'm really getting better. i wish i could blame it on being busy... but really i've just been christmas shopping like every day with liz. thanks a lot. i wish i could say my camera was broken and i have no good pictures to share... ok no. i would never ever wish that. but i really don't have any good pictures to share. at least "good" to me means opening up photoshop and doing a little quick editing... definitely too lazy for that. ok so someone remind me (who is not in their first trimester of pregnancy) that eventually you DO get your energy back! i so miss it.

our first week of december started off with a BANG! ok well i'll start last weekend. saturday morning we needed a good activity to get us out of the house. so we decided to take sophie to her first movie and see Bolt. it was cute. she only lasted 45 minutes though, and spent the rest of the time running up and down the aisle to the front row and back to the back row with her bag of pretzels in hand. i'm sure everyone was tormented by her cuteness, but at least we could finish the movie without a screaming child. and she did look up everytime the dog barked. that counts right?

monday we reserved library passes to the new england aquarium. for you out-of-towners this = cheap tickets. and definitely the only way to go as the aquarium is really just one big room that goes up, up, up about 3 levels. kind of skimping for being on the east COAST if you ask me. i sort of felt like i could just walk out the wharf and see more wildlife myself. ok except for the penguins... those were cool. that's just coming from a west coaster though who has the oregon coast aquarium. thank you. soph loved it though. well i'm still trying to decide if she loved pushing the stroller, or looking at the fishies more. that must be a one-year-old.

ok you want pictures. enough of my rambling.

she really wasn't into the "wildlife" as much as she was into splashing everyone around us.

we rode the T into faneuil hall so we got to walk around and do a little shopping, or more like a little eating, twice for me at quincy market. i loved the big christmas tree they had set up!

later that night for fhe we went to home depot with our friends to pick out our

first real christmas tree!

it was so exciting. we had ice cream afterwards to celebrate. but mostly just because it only took about 5 minutes to pick one out...haha. if i get those pics i will share. the guys looked so rugged. and oh man does it smell good. perfect little 5 foot beauty.

other than that, it's just been a lot of this... (landen said she looks like every girl in his dental school class... so if you want to be stylish in boston, wear really tight pants, leg warmers and a matching sweater.)

and that...

oh and see that kleenex box? i started getting a cold tuesday night which finally started to peak into a sinus infection last night. bleh. good thing for landen's dad being an OB. i found out i can knock myself out on sudafed. hallelujah.

oh and we finally saw quantum of solace last night. good good movie. i love the new bond. he's seriously the best. out of the way pierce, you got nothin on daniel.

oh and, i know, more right? good news. landen's married again. this guy has been missing for quite awhile. guess we don't check under the bed very often. first thing he asked me, "did you use a flashlight?" that's the first thing we use in our house. house rules. because on CSI if you turn off the lights (or just don't ever turn them on) and use your flashlight, you can find anything. always works.

it's gonna be a good month.

Great pictures! Boston seems like so much fun. Don't worry you will get more energy, but I must warn you that it won't come back as much as you might want with a toddler on the run. Good luck, and happy napping.

um...i still don't think i've got my energy back and i'm WAY past the first trimester!! hehe. maybe it's just a mom thing. but seriously, it will get better. one day you'll wake up and be like "am i really pregnant?" too bad it only lasts for a couple of weeks (for me at least). i love your real tree! so so cute. and i'm kinda jealous of sophie's outfit. it's really cute.

I love December too! I am loving your tree and quite impressed that you have gifts wrapped and under it! Does Sophie really leave those alone? Wouldn't last 2 minutes at my house. I know, we tried. Where did you get your big sparkly red ornaments?

I still have no energy and it's the second trimester! What's the deal??! I guess it's a tad better than the first but I still need a nap at 2:30 and 5:00, I swear!
