yes it was a perfect day. first off... it was a miracle that i actually got up to my alarm at 6 am to make landen a yummy buttermilk french toast breakfast before he went to school. miracle. soph and i wake up at 9 everyday so now landen really has to know how much i love him! he took the whole afternoon and evening off to spend with me and me only! we owe liz a HUGE thank you for watching soph all night for us! it's so nice to have good friends and not worry about how your baby is doing! i loved my flowers... my fall colors. so pretty!we drove downtown boston to the prudential center and did some serious window shopping. and when i say serious i mean 3 hours of walking around the back bay and even getting a couple things myself! do you know how nice it is to do whatever you want without having to find the nearest elevator to push your stroller up in, or putting things back on shelves that your kid threw off, or constantly handing snacks and sippy cups to little people to keep them happy?
:so nice:
we looked at books in barnes and noble, shared a sandwich at a yummy bakery, smelled every candle in the yankee store, looked at every little thing at anthropologie which i'm in love with (i even got an adorable apron!), visited the atrium of the boston public library (remember this post), walked around an art exhibit and actually appreciated what we saw. the only sad part was i didn't bring my camera with. landen told me we'd be doing a bunch of walking so i wouldn't want to lug it around. i think i said, "i wish i had my camera" about 67 times. so here's to the trusty point and shoot all night.
then we went to this super yummy restaurant called burton's grill for dinner. it's right next to fenway park. we stuffed ourselves with salmon steak and shrimp oh my!
onto our first red sox game. i've never seen so much beer in my life! literally... we saw maybe 4 sodas, we thought it was so funny. even though we lost, you know i stuffed my face with cotton candy and was happy!
