in the land of sunshine...

ok so finally some florida pictures! i don't know why this trip made me reflect on a lot of different areas of my life. maybe it was spending 6 days alone with sophie that made me go crazy, or just reminiscing with an old friend that gets you going. i was just thinking about how it's so good to talk to someone who has known you for so long. granted, sarah and i have only been friends for 5 years... it's seems like a lot longer when you do the whole college thing together. and so much changes from when you're 18 to 23! ok so i'm dating myself as a baby here, but i'm starting to feel old! we had so much fun talking about all the fun we had together, and now talking about being moms and having families. we definitely missed you ash!! we were the 3 musketeers. so of course i had to go back through all of our old pictures together. i just sat here for an hour dying laughing to myself about all the stupid things we did together. poor landen had to suffer through that (but he'll get his turn on here soon!!). so this is mostly for ashley and sarah... but who doesn't love looking at old pictures!?

and yes i had a really hard time choosing just one!!

that was then...

yep. sarah was harry potter. what a champ.

freshman year.

this was last year 2 months after i had soph. try to ignore how gorgeously tan sarah is while i'm recovering from new fat white mom syndrome.

and this is now...

something sophie perfected on this trip was the art of tantrum throwing. it's a step by step process that any toddler can learn. sophie is now giving lessons if you'd like to drop by our place at any given time on any given day.

{although i can't completely say this tantrum wasn't partly caused because i had the camera in her face.}

good thing she has these cute little leggies to offset the tantrums.

this was my first time to florida. i was so amazed at all the plants and giant bugs everywhere! i really felt like i was in a rainforest! but the temple was beautiful... as always!

sophie got a little tired of all the "indoor" activity so we had to leave some time for her "outdoor" activity. notice the creepy jungly mossy trees behind her!

she also has the squat perfected. which i love.

and of course, yelling at mom is always the most exciting part of our day.

sarah we had so much fun! we miss you girls already! thanks again for all the late night chats, shopping runs, and yummy food! ash you are so coming next time!
