breather

i really feel like i've been goin goin goin... and now i have a second to sit and relax and actually think about everything i've done! another of the many reasons i love sunday. we had a lot going on this weekend {really so fun} and soph decided to either teethe, or be an emotionally dramatic girl. we still haven't figured out which one it was. mostly i've just been trying to catch up with her this past week. she's getting faster and faster {crawling} which makes her ignore our attempts to get her to walk. and so this has pretty much been our life...

{and we're supposed to get her more for her birthday!?}
she finally found the dvds. i really thought we were out in the clear on this one. guess she is much smarter than we thought.
and landen is finally done with anatomy... FOREVER! seriously... he aced the class {A++}... ok i added those two pluses. so after the ten day countdown chain we had going on {complete with glitter} we had to have a little "finally finished" celebration. soph helped me make a little banner and a delicious manicotti dinner. we got to have landen's friend chris over to celebrate as well. i should have gotten a pic of the two toasting their martinellis, this will have to suffice...
and this my friends, is MEAT. seven pounds of delicious steak we marinated for kabobs for my friend liz's surprise party! she turns 25 tomorrow so we had to throw her a little luau. and of course i documented the meat and not much of the birthday girl... what was i thinking?

try some delicious recipes from the partay here, here and here. yum!

and do you know what i love besides the fact that landen didn't study one ounce this weekend AND it's a holiday tomorrow {patriot day/boston marathon} so we get to party some more? it's finally starting to look like spring!! yay!

we even saw this tonight... a happy little ending to a fun weekend.
{yep that's our friendly neighborhood home depot out our back door. aren't we so lucky to have such an amazing view!?}

ok one last story... promise {except i still have to post those boston walk pics... i will do that someday}.
we went on a little sunday drive this afternoon. i totally found a new place to live. it's like 5 minutes down the road and is by this amazing golf course {haha... in my dreams}. so i also saw these amazing ruins, which would be the coolest place to take pictures!! i got all excited cause it's kind of down this hidden road and would be my spot. it even has huge window openings for cool portraits. much to my dismay it's totally off limits and fenced around with signs hanging everywhere to not trespass. anyone feel like going on an adventure with me!? ok no... but if you do know of anything else like this let me know!
{kind of hard to see through the fence, but you get the idea} bummer! strike one...

I love the pics! that color/bw thing is so fun. I'm so glad that Anatomy test is over, and of course he would get an A, go Landen!
