i have a nine month old

and this is exactly how i feel about it:i just love the baby rolls and i know i'm not going to have them around forever! there is something about going to the dr.'s that makes our whole day just bad. but today wasn't bad at all. sophie got her finger pricked and didn't make a sound. she just tilted her head and leaned in closer for a better look at her blood dripping into the tube... thank you future dr. sophie. have you ever seen a nine month old with a big bandaid on her middle finger? wow. i've never seen her "flap" her arms so fast. i thought she was going to bite her finger off. i'm not even going to comment on nurses... it usually just gets me going. (love you jamie)

the other thing that is funny to me is stats. i didn't understand any of this before i had a baby, but now i get pretty excited to see how her weight and height are coming along. mostly because she has been in the 90th percentile for both for quite awhile now. while she remains off the charts for height (who knows where that gene came from... have you seen landen and i lately?) she came down from 95% to 84% in weight!! only 21 pounds... haha. i guess that's an improvement. and no diet necessary. i will continue to love the rolls.

then i was going through my "february" pictures and was reminded what a nine month old cupboard looks like. this could be very different in the future!

here are two little bonus videos. we are loving the babble. (i hate that word... let's come up with something new). sophie talk? that's a slight improvement.

happy presidents day

Keep the videos coming! Those ones had me grinning ear to ear and wishing I could just squeeze her!

I love Soph's 'chabbering'. She's got a language of her own already. Don't you love the baby fat?! We call Emmy's "sweet meat".

I too am madly in love with chub, rolls and anything so squeezable. Roe has an appointment on Thursday and I can't wait to see what "grade" he gets. Hopefully he takes the pricks as well as the Sophster did.

SOOO CUTE!!! So, is she full on crawling now? I can't believe how fast these babies keep growing up. It's kind of sad and exciting at the same time.
