the dancing bee

sophie got to wear her halloween costume to dance class today. well technically this is not this year's costume, we did a little repeat from last year so she could move around.

you might be thinking... wow. the end of october. outside. short sleeves. in the morning. yep. it's true. it hit 82 degrees today on my car temp. it was amazing. we kind of felt like it was our last goodbye to fall in new england. it was perfectly peak, and perfectly t-shirt weather. we jumped in piles of leaves and chased squirrels... life doesn't get better than that.

we got to sit in on her class today, and landen got to come too!

so now i give you...

the dancing bee.
(yes, it's 5 minutes long. but i know some grandparents that probably wouldn't mind.)

and a few action stills for those of you not wanting to risk your boring-meter with a 5 minute dance video (although, i personally find it adorable)

oooo i love this girl. she is finally at the really helpful sweet stage of this thing we call the "threes." and i just die over every little thing she says. she is soo sweet to piper, hugs her to death, and will help her with anything. she puts her shoes away first thing when we get home. clears her plate after she eats. puts her clothes in the dirty clothes. fully obsesses over every detail saying, "ooo that's beautiful!" always lets me know, "i just love you so much mom." and *cheering* finally wipes her own bum.

this morning when she asked for a "chwoclate bar" and i told her no she answered with, "i'm not giving up mom."

well i'm not giving up either soph. i just love you so much.

Oh, Halloween in Boston. Why has it never hit me until now? (I love that picture with the bright yellow leaves behind Sophie in her black-yellow getup. Perfect.)

Congrats on the good part of the threes. It looks like not giving up pays off. :)
