little bits

where have i been? i don't even know. i have been spending a lot of time on my shop lately. and luckily, it's paying off. but other than that we're just trying to take advantage of the last little bits of summer. the big picture taking season is starting for me this weekend too, so you know where i'll be every saturday night until thanksgiving. ;) oh and i'm finally turning my blog into a book. which is turning out to be quite the process. (that's an understatement).

and as always, there are so many pictures that i never get around to sharing. we've done a lot this summer, and as excited as i get about the new england fall, i don't feel the same way about the winter. that's kind of what i'm dreading. one more deathly winter to survive with a now extremely energetic one-year-old. (p lady started jumping off things today. i found her taking a pillow off the couch, putting it on the ground, climbing up on the couch and attempting to jump onto the pillow. i barely caught her before she broke her neck. and honestly i don't know where she gets it because sophie is still afraid of things like that.)

ok enough ramblings, here are a few pieces of our hodgepodge summer.

amy & jordan's visit back in june.

the breaker's mansion in newport, rhode island. (which i looooved.) sorry we're a little out of focus. you do the best you can with a remote. the grass is lovely though right?

more newport. cutest town. krissi (on the left) is expecting grandbaby #7 in january. we're so excited.

Photobucket

joseph smith's birthplace in sharon, vermont.

Photobucket

you can't go to vermont without hitting up the ben & jerry's factory. we still dream about the coconut, almond joy ice cream. oh my.

Photobucket

zoo in providence, rhode island. don't you love piper in this pic? hehe. (and i promise i do my hair somedays)

Photobucket

i just really don't want any of it to end. and thanks to this summer, i am now only 4 states away from being a "country-wide" traveler.

delaware, michigan, new jersey and virginia... here i come.

ok, i have a super strange question for you. where do you get your clothes?? LOL. we're going through the temple next month and i'm nervous about length because i cannot find long shorts like you have ANYWHERE. the shorts i have aren't horrible, but i don't think they'll work cover enough, know what i mean?
and not only do you have great clothes, but they are sooo cute too! i feel like i gotta shop in the granny section to find appropriate shorts and stuff. haha.
