just a few more sophie-isms before i forget. now that she has decided to speak in her own little broken sentences i don't want to miss anything she says or does!
i cut landen's hair the other night after the girls went to bed. i don't think sophie has actually ever seen the hair cutting process because we usually want to keep her out of the mess. when she woke up in the morning she eyed landen's hair and went straight over to rub it. after rubbing she said, "hair, pretty." later after he got home from school she ran over for another good rub and said, "hair. where is it? where is it?"
we have been potty training for a good 3 or 4 weeks now, so we still get pretty excited about "triumphs" in the potty. occasionally we sit down next to her because the "big" potty is next to her "little" potty. might as well teach by example right? landen was sitting next to her the other day and she looks over and matter-of-factly states, "good job dad."
she is loving all the christmas lights right now. every time we get in the car it's "lights? lights?" and the second we see some it's instantly "more lights, more lights" being whispered from the back seat.
she's been really into asking what we are going to be doing the next day every night when she goes to bed. as if she needs to plan her day, or maybe so she can dream about the possibility of going to the park. so once she's all tucked in she always asks, "wake up?" or if it's nap time during the day it's usually, "wake up, daddy school?" hoping we get to pick landen up from school.

her favorite game right now is to sit in any room and play "i spy." when it's my turn she has to find whatever i'm spying but when it's her turn she gets so excited to point out whatever it is for me. like, "i spy... a CHWOCK!" pointing to the clock at the same time. i love hearing her talk this way, because there are some objects i didn't even know she knew the names for. the favorite now is, "i spy... ments!" (ornaments).
i love how she lifts up her shirt and feeds her baby out of her belly button when i'm nursing piper. i think she's pretty convinced that's where piper is getting her food. she also likes to point out all of "pipey's stinky poo-poos" to me. thanks soph.
and my favorite is how she always counts to 13 for everything. after ten it gets really exciting and progressively louder with a big, "AH eweben (11), AH chwelve (12), AH tirteen (13)."

Okay my friend, you must have your hands FULL! Soph is hilarious! She seriously cracks me up. The girls look like best buddies already. And of course they are so adorable!!
