that is piper's theme song right now (jabs as in jabbering at everyone). i'm starting to feel like my baby time is slipping away a little faster this time with piper. i want to keep this baby-ness forever (forever=taking lots of pictures).
she was technically four months last sunday but i haven't had time to do a little shoot until now. landen was gone most of the day yesterday and sophie has been sick all weekend (lots of kleenex and "snugoes" read: snuggles) so we tore up the living room taking pictures. word to the wise: unless you want a major workout, don't try to take pictures of your baby while your toddler needs major attention and lunch at the same time.

she's really not that serious all the time, she just plays hard to get when the camera comes out.
she went to her four month check-up this week. boy does her little body hate shots. her legs get all red and puffy and she screams for hours. not a fun day, lots of bottles and singing, and sophie obsessing over her "boo ban-aids." well she dropped from off the charts in weight to 50th percentile! i don't think i've ever had a kid so low, i felt like a bad mom or something. still off the charts for height, we just have a skinny girl. i'll take any chub i can get at this point! her little bulldog cheeks are my fav.
we snapped a few today before landen ran off to his stake meeting (secretly hate those... or not so secret. landen told me today that he has his calling to help make me stronger. bah.)
that one kills me every time. eat your heart out.
oh AND did i mention this little lady takes naps now!? like 1-2.5 hour naps, and goes down without crying. and that's after sleeping her 12 hour nights. what a pro! remember this post? we've worked really hard the past two weeks and are officially hermits to prove it. (sorry if your kids don't sleep through the night or take naps, not trying to rub it in your faces in any way... ok maybe a little. that's gonna come back to bite me.)

landen has a test in the morning and is getting up embarrassingly early, (if you thought 3am was early, you were wrong) so i'm supporting the cause and going to bed *gasp* early. i know, it's pretty much against my religion, but i'm trying not to get sick either. 10pm people!

Well, I can't decide if I'm in labor or dying of kidney stones or what but THANK YOU for the post and giving me something cute to look at at one in the morning. Your baby is adorable! Your pictures are amazing! Your husband is insane if he's up that early! :)

When a photographer has a blog it is like a gift to the world. Just reading and looking feels like a art therapy to me. I hope Sophs feels better soon. That nasty is spreading like wildfire. Chris's opinion on the test was "it would have been easy if I'd studied". He thinks getting up at 5 is early and odds are he'll have the grades to prove it. Ah well, can't blame him.
