cush life

i needed a little project last night and decided to make some little floor "mats, pads, cushions," whatever you call them, for the preschool gang. they don't have the biggest attention span and have a hard time sitting as a group. i thought i'd help the effort a little with some fun cushions, and who knows, maybe they'll sit for 5 seconds longer?

i had some extra flannel and batting laying around that needed a new home, i think sophie has gladly adopted them if you can't tell. oh and the chick.

(please don't look too close. i'm not a seamstress and they are super skiwampus. totally looked that word up. thanks mom and liz for being the only human beings on the planet who use that word. like i didn't know there were corners on circles! good thing little people don't care.)

cute stuff! i love getting creative with the sewing machine. i could literally spend hours in front of it and not even notice. till my back starts screaming of course. lol.

and that's ok that you didn't call, i managed. =)i ended up opting for the sony because it was the closest (and most afforable) thing to an slr, and i don't think i'm ready for an slr just yet. not quite ready to give up video! lol.
maybe someday.

Skiwampus is part of my family's vocabulary, too. Now I know how to spell it! :) I think the circle corners add character.

so cute! love that word too. on the shirts, i did do a ruffle on them, but the pleating thing is much quicker and just as cute, i think!

how cute! You are so creative. Our nursery has little carpets they use for mats. These are WAY better. Good job!

is that the posessed chick??? Em loves to suck on hers and then it won't stop chirping. yours is in much better shape, ours looks more like a ratty yellow tennis ball.

cute idea! I didn't know you guys got married in the Portland OR temple too! Nice to see you had to deal with those crazy circle things on the spires too! We got married just two months before you and they were on there, and half the grounds were roped off!
