and so it begins. back to reality. back to really doing it myself. all of our family is gone, landen went back to school, and we've had an awesome two-week staycation. we tried to pack it full and not take any of our time for granted. mission accomplished. and now i'm ready to catch up and have a little break!
i think the girls needed a break too. although everyone will surely be missed! this is us this morning. lounging on grandpa's left over bed.

at least we woke up happy!

get ready for some major catch-up posts.
oh and anyone that wanted that freezer jam recipe (jac!): i totally use the recipe that comes in the pectin box. i use *ball brand fruit pectin. you just need around 2 cups of mashed fruit, lemon juice, 4 cups of sugar and the pectin. healthy right!?

ps... sophie started calling piper "pipey" (pronounced pie-pee) today. every time she fusses it's "oh pipey!" i think it's my new favorite word.
now off to tackle our day.

pipey...that's so cute! so when are you guys planning your next visit to AZ? i hope it won't be too long because i need to see your cute little girls in person! (and of course we want to see you & landen too, hehe).
Grandpa wishes he was still with you all, he had a blast!
thanks so much for the tips about freezer jam! I'm totally going to give it a whirl... your girls are adorable!
I totally made raspberry freezer jam this past week with that same pectin box recipe...so easy! I always thought making jam was hard when I watched my mom do it when we were kids. It's a piece of cake! Mmmmm and I'm so jealous of your trip to the fruit farm. That would be my heaven. Especially for those blueberries!!!
