i kid you not, i had so many pictures from martha's vineyard last weekend i had a hard time narrowing down my editing selection. therefore... you get the motherload.
after a little drive and ferry ride we docked safely at martha's vineyard.

i'd just like to call this section...

i'd just like to call this section...
dad's on vacation. really, would you even know the moms were there? love it.

a cool buoy sculpture that sophie tried to run over with the stroller.

love love loved all the quaint new england buildings and architecture. just loverly.

sometimes (ok a lot) liz and i like to make gangsta signs at each other. i think it makes us feel less like moms and more like... the gangstas we are. ;)

these cool fire hydrants were EVERYWHERE. i kept annoying everyone and counting them. i think i got to like 47? right?

and then we ran into the edgartown lighthouse. very picturesque.

this pathway was all SEASHELLS! i LOVED it.

the E fam (which i think sophie thinks she is a part of)

and the only proof that i was actually on the island kicked my butt and focused on the lighthouse instead. were you trying to tell me something liz? kidding. you know this is the way a pregnant lady would want it!

sometimes i think of liz as the "mother hen" because she's everyone's "favorite mom"

and i had to add a little "scenery." let me paint a picture for you.

do you feel like an east coaster yet? well if you don't let me paint a bigger picture. the martha's vineyard "crowd" is a pretty posh group. i think we had the most fun making fun of them ALL DAY. check out the front couple and picture sweaters tied over shoulders, plaid and salmon colored shorts, and LOTS of collared shirts. if you want to know how to fit in over here, we could let you know. but we might make fun of you a little. ;)

it was a long day.

calvin is quite the climber. quite.

we ran into this little grassy beach at the end of our day and finally stopped teasing the kids about being so close to the water. they squeezed some rock throwing time in with landen.

our ducklings.

and i'm pretty sure liz and trav were contemplating how on earth they're going to survive without the tutts. look at those contemplative faces!

our day wouldn't have been complete without a little shark fighting on the ferry.

you could say we were all a little sunburnt and exhausted at the end of the day.

but so fun we're already looking forward to a few things we missed, next time.

I love the pictures of course. I have to agree with Kami - I also love the "motherload" of pictures. I wish I lived on the east coast because of your awesome pictures.
i'm glad you guys had a fun trip!! aren't lighthouses so beautiful? that black and white one looked exactly like one of them on Nantucket when we went. Beautiful pictures. I like your gangsta sign. You know how to hip hop too?! :)
What a fun and exciting trip
So beautiful - great job with the pictures! I think I'll have to go there someday.
oh no! i messed up the only picture of you. way to teach me how to use your camera! haha, sorry. i LOVE all of these. this was definitely one of my favorite east coast days. thanks again. (oh, and i'm stealing all of these, mkay?)
and, you know that all travis and i do all day is sit around and contemplate what we are going to do without the tutts.
Can't wait to go. I laughed so hard at the picture of Calvin in the middle of the road. Looks like some fun times guys.
i think we are going to try to go there or nantucket for our anniversary after we move out there and find a little bed & breakfast or something, all your pics inspired us! so beautiful!
and yes, your belly is live on my blog...i'm so sneaky :)
Looks like your trip to the vineyard was a great success. You should try selling some of your pics to the tourism board there. Can you believe I've been in MA for almost ten years now and still haven't made it out to the vineyard? Maybe I'll have to finally make the trip now that I've seen your fun pics!
I love the swankiness of the Vineyard, those stiffies captured the essence of it!
