birthday boy

thursday was landen's big 2-6. i guess i was busy trying to make his day wonderful and NOT blogging... or something like that. i think it was a success though! or at least pictures will prove the point right?

L we love you so much and are so blessed to have you in our lives. well sophie doesn't really have a choice, but considering she wakes up every morning to me walking in her room and always asks, "dad?" i'd say she's pretty ok with it too. i could never tell you how much landen does for us because really... it would make all you wives out there a little too jealous. okaaay, i'll share a few of my favs...

• every saturday he cleans the house. like cleans the house. bathroom, floors, whatever has to be done. love.
• he relentlessly waits on me hand and foot. it's honestly pathetic. it's amazing i haven't gained 50 pounds being married to him because i never have to lift a finger. love.
• sophie absolutely adores him. she can't wait for him to come home everyday so they can play "tent" under the purple blanket. mom just isn't cool like that. i get it. love.
• he's amazingly good looking. but i won't give you the gory details. he always sneaks up behind me at the kitchen sink (or wherever i'm standing) to hug me. and i always jump. love.
• i'm pretty sure he would change all the diapers, give all the baths, and wipe up all the spills for the rest of our marriage if i truly wanted him to. it's never "my turn" or "his turn." no counting in our relationship... well maybe with cookies. love.
• he hates arguing with me, but knows i really need him to fight back about some things (yes i like the occasional opposition), so he'll occasionally throw in a "fake argument" to spice things up. but let's be honest, he can't really lie either. ;) love.
• he is the hardest worker i know. because he doesn't study on sundays he'll wake up at 3:30 am on monday morning to get ready for his test. it's a good thing he is the one going to school for this family! love.

ok i'll stop the bragging. we love you L and just can't get enough of you. happy birthday.

(ps... the "poking" picture was taken at bertucci's. has anyone been there? apparently we found a new fav over olive garden. i know, i thought we'd never see the day. thanks east coast)
