so i know i'm going to really freak out when i have an actual "eighteen-year-old" but 18 months seems old enough for me now. the sophster is officially a nursery-goer today! although she's been sneaking in for the past month or so. we love this girl so much. she has changed our lives in so many ways. people always say you just don't understand kids until you have them yourself, and it's so true. she is one sweet girl.
and finally for some halloween action. i'm sure we'll actually get some "18 month shots" after the actual "shots" wear off this week. i hate that celebrations for kids always have to come with injections. yuck. she was the cutest 50's girl around. and see liz's blog for a few more that i'm skipping out on.
i love this picture because it's what soph usually looks like. she's an awesome "signer" and her hands are always in motion!

we had too much fun with my mom here. sophie loved having her here the most because she would actually take her outside when it was freezing to walk up and down our hill 500 times. thanks mom.

some sophie stats at 18 months:
- she loves watching for planes and birds outside, and chasing them with her dad
- her words and signing get better everyday, especially "tate-to" (thank you) and "sho" (sophie)
- she copies everything we do... when she feels like it
- we can't hide anything from her, she'll find it. but somehow she hides everything from us (which we usually find in the clothes hamper)
- she loves to dance and has the best boodie shakin/shoulder shimmying on the block
- she is still the best sleeper, sleeping 13 hours a night
- she has finally mastered the pucker and "smack" of kissing... my favorite
- her "cock-a-doodle-do" for the rooster and "ree-bit" for the frog are another couple of my favorites
- she loves to give high-fives, fist pounds, and thumbs up with a "doo" (dude) thanks to her dad
- spaghetti, pickles, apples, cheese and "ju" (juice) are her favorite foods, unfortunately she's totally over hot dogs, cheese crisps, and chicken nuggets. hello? normal kid food.
- she loves taking the color wonder markers out of the box and putting them back in, but not coloring on the pages because it takes too long for the color to show up
- if she could read books and point out all the objects on every page for 24 hours straight she would do it
- she'd rather hang out with adults than kids
- she knows when we are waiting for dad at the bus stop and her eyes light up every time she sees him coming toward the car. i'm pretty sure it's her favorite time of the day, mine too.
we love you so much soph. happy 1/2 birthday! you're definitely our one in a million.

Ahhhhh, she's my one in a million too and I miss her! What I wouldn't give to give her a squeeze today! 18 months, where does the time go? Love you all! Mom
Hooray for 18 months! If Abby could stop clinging to me in nursery, they could be great nersery buddies. I think she's one in a million too, a very sweet little girl.
13 hrs every night?! I really hope we can get some of that goodness!
