dress-up

i got to play some serious dress-up with my little cousins over the weekend. ok i didn't really dress-up but i had so much fun watching them put on my grandma's old clothes and waiting for them to yell, "kristen we're ready!" from the porch. i'm completely not picking favorites, i had fun with ALL my cousins. but how can you beat these faces? they are such little posers! and you gotta love the wigs!

girlies in the hammock. we had some pretty funny conversations in that hammock. we figured out that lauren's favorite person is brook, and shea likes all foods, all colors, and all animals. ;)

saturday was HOTT! we cooled off in the pool. yes sophie fell down and soaked her clothes. nothing like a naked diaper baby running around the farm.
again, my daughter is chasing an animal. it's not gonna happen folks. i will not buy a dog. someone please reassure me that this is just a stage!
ok so i have to share some family pics for landen. it's getting to the hard point. we're on day 15 of missing him. can't wait to see you on saturday! so here's some of what we've been doing while away.
kyle thinks he's a model. ok he doesn't really, but he DOES think he is part of a boy band. do you believe me?
the gamers at the reunion. my mom is always the favorite aunt for playing card games!
i loved hanging out with brookie this weekend. she's been gone a lot for camps but whenever we are together we have too much fun. we got our own hotel room with soph so it was an ultimate girls sleepover! isn't she gorgeous!?
she's always a favorite with the cousins too! they soaked her with their wet hugs after the pool...

we wish you were here landen! we'll see you soon! oh and dad... i didn't forget about you. i'm just giving you a break since the "dancing" post. ;) love ya.

I am totally with you on the dog thing! Actually today D-boy asked me if we could possibly get a dog with our fish {fish is as far as I can go} and a girl dog because, it's girl dogs who have babies, right? Keep dreaming, kid!!

Super cute pics. That camera you have does such an amazing job with taking photos. I just might need to get me one, one of these days.

I think most toddlers like dogs until they've had a bad experience. Something fury licking your face and doesn't mind that you pull on its ears sounds like fun if you're only 16 months old. Bring Sophie over to our apartment complex some evening and she can be mauled by all the dogs she wants. It's one of the benefits of living here... doggie fun without doggie responsibilities!

I'm not going to thrill you and say it's "just a stage" with the doggie lovin'. BUT kaybee toys had little barking, walking, and jumping PRETEND puppies for $6.00! I totally scored one and although, it's annoying {since it's rarely turned off} it has kept the animal chasing to a minimum.
