beautiful day in the neighborhood

i'm not kidding. i've had that stupid mister roger's song stuck in my head all day. every time i see the sun i now think of that stupid zip-up sweater. ok it's not that bad. but it's beautiful day numero dos or tres... wow i can't even remember! that's how good it is! i had to take advantage again {promise to post the pics from yesterday soon} and go for a little stroll with soph. i've taken lots of walks since we moved here, but i've never just started at my own apartment and walked around my neighborhood. honestly, not really a "walker-friendly" place with home depot next door, the freeway a block over, and the miscellaneous auto body shops everywhere. but i decided what the heck- we need to break the ice.
we headed down to the bank and then over to good ol' 7-11 for a big icey diet coke. and what did we find on our walk home? not one park but TWO! they were across the street from each other, but i never knew we had a little hidden treasure only a few minutes away. so happy about that.
so the sucker is from the bank, the straw is from 7-11 and the raquet ball? she carried that thing around for two hours and didn't drop it once {along with the sucker and the straw}. am i going to have a little hoarder on my hands!? it was still pretty cute...

she was concentrating pretty hard on the guy playing basketball. look at that expression.
