it's a miracle!

after waiting for almost 2 months for the internet (a story of which no one would wish to hear such gruesome details) it is finally here! i no longer have minutes on my phone for the month of september... thanks to comcast. and if we weren't poor students looking for cheap monthly deals to the fastest possible way to download school power points and browse endless websites, we would probably boycott that company. but in the end we gave in and finally got what we wanted. so here i am- back in the blogging world!
landen is full swing into dental school and doing really well on all of his quizes/tests. they have a nice little "quincy gang" who all commute together on the way home from school. he actually had a cold the past couples days so we've been making him hot chocolate and drugging him up on cold medicine. even still he continues to plug away studying and always amazes me at the lack of sleep he functions on. (hence the sickness)
sophie and i are finding our way around quincy and she always keeps me entertained as i swear she learns something new every day. we go on walks at the beach (which is about 10 minutes away) or take trips to the library. she loves watching me do pilates in the morning and i'm sure she's thinking, "what is she doing with her legs!?" she amazes us by sleeping 10 hours through the night every night. that is another miracle- she goes to bed around 9 or 10 and wakes up at 8. after our chaotic start it's all paying off now! she is so close to rolling over- i'm just waiting for that to happen! right now she loves to "sing" to the music in the car, a lot of "ooos" and "aahhs." she puts everything and anything in her mouth to suck on... including my hair, fingers, and jewelry. her giggling makes me smile everyday and she couldn't make me happier to be a mom! i'm loving every minute with her! brook sent her a puppy that is her new favorite toy- "plopper" -no we didn't name him that, it actually came with that one.
