camping at the homestead

i came home saturday night after the relief society broadcast to this in my living room:

you think i had kids or something building forts... no. just one husband. (well i do have a kid but she's not really in the "fort building stage" yet). it took him 30 minutes to set the tent up by himself. oh i only wish i had pictures of that! he somehow surprised me by sneaking smore "fixins'" into the house saturday morning so we could go camping later. he was smart and sidetracked me by bringing home a slurpee too. he knows what i like.

this tent was complete with a blanket bed and crackling fire. (yes- it actually crackled)

and thanks to him we still have an exciting marriage! he happens to be the best husband. the gas stove made our mallow roasting even more authentic- of course we had to take pictures! although the blue flame doesn't quite show up. i don't think he realized how addicted i can get to an open flame and some sugar on the end of a stick.

I must say you are looking mighty skinny! What a thoughtful man Landen is to take you camping under such favorable circumstances, dry weather and a handy shower! That's the only way to camp! The mallow looks yummy too.
