we tried to do all of our favorite family traditions for the fourth yesterday... went to a bbq with friends, made homemade strawberry ice cream, watched the stadium of fire fireworks from the temple hill, and did sparklers at home. it was such a fun day to be together as a family for sophie's first fourth of july! she loved watching the fireworks and sparklers as lights are her favorite thing right now. and as a result to a satisfying day she slept in her crib (not our bed) for six hours last night. it was a miracle, which is why i'm able to write about it before 10am!
i loved having landen with us yesterday, he's so fun to be with and such a good daddy! he will be finished with his independent study class this week (cross our fingers) and we'll get to have him all to ourselves for 3 whole weeks before dental school starts! we are so proud of him!
i'm going to pick up our family pictures later today... so excited. i'll have to post some later.
thanks to my mom and the cute outfit! just had to document the patriotic accessories...
